Pierre is carrying some cash with him which he would like to convert into dollars to take his children shopping and for sight seeing when he is done with meetings. He is organized and gives attention to detail.

2. Christoph Weber is a 22 year old student from Germany who is visiting New York to do an unpaid summer internship for 2 months. He is staying with a family friend in New Jersey and commutes everyday to Manhattan for his internship. On the weekends Christoph likes to go out and explore the city with his friends. He is carrying money from home and would like to deposit it into a bank when he gets a bank account in the city. He doesn't own a credit card and uses cash for all his transactions at the moment. He is outgoing but also careful about how much he spends. Christoph wants to make the most of his trip to the states.

3. Angie McKenzie is a housewife who is taking a 5 day vacation with her husband to Santiago in Chile. They live in Manhattan, and her husband has only a few days per year that he can spare to plan a trip. Hotel and travel arrangements have already been made and they would like to carry some local cash, instead of dealing with foreign rates while using their credit card or looking for exchange bureaus at the expense of vacation time. They have been preparing for this trip for a while and it will be a good getaway, allowing them to unwind from their otherwise busy lives. They want the trip to be simple, affordable and memorable.

4. Sohana Rehman is a 19 year old freshman at NYU. She is an international student and this is the first time she is away from her home country, Pakistan and family. She has carried some cash in Pakistani Rupees and American Dollars on her trip to pay for initial expenses, which she was instructed to keep with herself instead of depositing in a new bank account. She is also carrying a substantial amount of cash in Pakistani Rupees, which she was instructed by her father to give to her uncle in Queens who is investing in a new personal enterprise. She has been told to convert all the cash in dollars before handing it to her uncle. Sohana lives in an NYU dorm and is having a hard time adjusting to her new life. She is timid and relies on the university and mentors at NYU to guide her around the city and school life.
